I'm Joshua Nelson. I started Zero to Launched because I kept watching mission-driven founders get stuck in the same place — between a powerful idea and a structure funders could see. The frameworks I use here are the same ones I'm using to build my own company.
I spent a decade at Motorola Solutions — moving from systems engineering through go-to-market, global program management, and digital product. In these roles I learned how big companies turn ideas into operating reality.
In parallel, I spent four years on the board of Sit Stay Read, a Chicago children's literacy nonprofit focused on socioemotional learning — leading governance and seeing up close how funders actually evaluate programs, how grants get won, and how good missions sometimes lose for unstrategic reasons.
Now I'm building incluu coffee — a mission-driven specialty coffee and community space concept here in Chicago. Legal entity formation. Pitch deck. Investor conversations. Brand identity. Legal instruments. The whole stretch from zero. Zero to Launched is the playbook I built for myself, opened up for other founders ready to make the same move.
